About Dr. Sable Muntean
Dr. Sable Muntean is a California native whose career blends clinical excellence, leadership, and a passion for inspiring the next generation of dental professionals. A graduate of the University of Southern California, she went on to earn both her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master’s in Health Services Administration from the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Florida. She further advanced her training through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency and an Implant Fellowship at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Muntean began her career in private practice before joining the St. Louis VA Medical Center in 2022, where she became the first full-time female dentist on staff. Her leadership and influence have been widely recognized — in 2023, she was named one of the ADA’s Top Ten Under Ten dentists, and in 2025, she was selected for Fellowship in the International College of Dentists, an honor awarded to fewer than 3% of U.S. dentists. She will also serve as President of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society in 2028.
Beyond the operatory, Dr. Muntean is a dynamic speaker and educator. She has delivered lectures, keynotes, and webinars for national conferences, state meetings, and dental schools across the country. Her speaking engagements include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Yankee Dental Congress, Mid-Continent Dental Congress, Rocky Mountain Dental Convention, and numerous local societies, universities, and industry organizations.
A published author in Compendium and CRANIO: The Journal of Craniomandibular & Sleep Practice, she also serves as Chief Editor of the igniteDDS Get Lit Newsletter, which reaches over 22,000 dental professionals each week. Dr. Muntean’s expertise, coupled with her approachable style, has made her a sought-after voice for dentists and their teams who want to innovate care, elevate their practices, and positively impact the profession.
